136. This video demonstrates how to put together our assembly template files in
the CAD lab for use throughout the quarter.

137. This video demonstrates the techniques used in the modeling of a simple
bevel gear set, inserting them into an assembly and using the Gear Mate to
simulate gear motion. The parts that represent the gears are basic
"friction wheels' whose pitch diameters are defined as a circular sketch in the
middle of each of the bevel gear surfaces. The Revolve Boss/Base feature is
used to create the gears.

138. This video demonstrate the techniques used in the modeling of a simple
spur gear set, inserting them into an assembly and using the Gear Mate to
simulate gear motion. The parts that represent the gears are basic
"friction wheels' whose pitch diameters are represented by each of the gear
exterior edges.  Back to the top

139. This video describes the various options used when using the Helix Curve
Feature in the modeling of a spring including the "Pitch and Revolution", "Height
and Revolution", "Height and Pitch" and the"Spiral Option". It also discusses
some of the options and problems that you may encounter.

140. This video describes how to fix some problems defining the "Spiral" option
in the Helix. It also describes a different option without the helix using options
in the Swept Boss/Base using three sketches.

141. This video adds some additional details to the Spring then describes how
to insert it into an existing assembly using an "In Context" sketch relation on one
of the Spring Sketch entities. This relation allows the Spring to interact with
related motion in the assembly.

142. This video demonstrates the various options for using the convenient
"Pack and Go" file save option when sending various assembly and drawing files.

143. This video demonstrates a technique for assembling chain links together,
in conjunction with 2 sprockets in an Assembly. The chain segments move along
a path emulating interaction with the 2 sprockets resulting in expected
inter-sprocket movement. The Path Mate along with mating the 2 front planes
together were used to define these parts in the assembly.  (See also 175 and 176)

144. These videos demonstrate assembly techniques in a basic model involving
machine type motion. This video demonstrates how to start an assembly and
different methods on inserting various components. This video also demonstrates
the use of Smart Mates, the Width Mate plus other mates in an Assembly.

145. This video demonstrates how to start an assembly and different methods
on inserting various components. This video also demonstrates the use of
Smart Mates, the Width Mate plus other mates in an Assembly.

146. Once the assembly is together this video demonstrates how to insert
components from the SolidWorks Toolbox like screws, washers and nuts.
This video also demonstrates how to also use Edit Component within an
assembly to modify a part.  Back to the top

147. Once the assembly is together along with Toolbox items this video
demonstrates how to create an Exploded View Configuration and how to
insert and modify Explode Line Sketches.

148. With the Exploded View and Explode Line Sketch in place you can use
some display and view options to toggle between the 2 views. This video
demonstrates how to animate the collapse and the exploding of the assembly.
It also demonstrates options with the Animation Controller and how to rename
and reorder some of the exploded steps.
