YSWUG Fall Meeting Follow Up
This is a follow up from our recent meeting last month. For all that attended I hope it was enjoyable and informative.
We had Adam Smith from Product Creation Studio present on “How to Build a Super Model – Using Surfacing Tools to enhance Solid Bodies” and Clem See discussing what he likes about some of the new enhancements in SolidWorks 2013. Also, Lee Janko gave a short presentation, during our half time break, on the services offered by the Rapid Group, one of our sponsors of our meetings. For those looking to follow-up with Lee please contact him at: ljanko@therapidgroup.com. There is a lot of content available from this meeting including the two models that Adam used in his presentation plus images of all the happenings which can be found on our website at the following link: YSWUG November Meeting. The video of Adam’s presentation is in the works and I will send a notice out when we have that linked.
Put Thursday February 28th on the calendar for our winter meeting at the Oxford Suites in Yakima. We will be having Michael Steeves from Quest Integration present on: “Does your Model Hold Water?” covering the topics related to Import/Export Healing 2D to 3D including:
• Tips, Tricks and Techniques
• Why do imports fail and how can I get a better export?
• How can I heal and repair imported geometry (2D and 3D)?
• Converting 2D to 3D.
Case study: Plastic injection molds
We will also have a follow-up to the fun and excitement from SolidWorks World 2013. If you are planning on attending SolidWorks World at Disney World let Jeff or I know, it might be convenient for us to arrange travel together.
Also at the winter meeting, we will be taking our annual Topics Survey on subjects that you would like to see presentations on, so we can line up speakers for the coming year.
